Women’s water polo at Easterns this weekend

The women’s water polo team received a bid for the 12-team Eastern Water Polo Championships this weekend.

The competition will start Saturday at noon when the No. 10 seed Colonials take on No. 3 seed Harvard University. At 3:30, GW will take on No. 6 seed Queens College.

Congressionals lose at Smith Center

The Washington Congressionals of the United States Basketball League opened their home season Tuesday night with a 101-83 loss to New Jersey at the Smith Center. Washington fell to 1-2.

Men’s lacrosse advances to NCLL Final Four

The GW men’s lacrosse team defeated Mary Washington College 12-7 Monday and will compete in the National Club Lacrosse League Final Four at Albright College this weekend.

Dave Smith led the team with three goals, and Andrew Stergiopolis and Peter Sayia added two. Brad Pfeffer had 14 saves for GW. Stergiopolis and Clay Travis will represent GW in the NCLL all-star game.
