Tajama Abraham – Women’s Basketball Player of the Century
Tajama Abraham joins Joe Holup as the only other GW basketball player in history to score more than 2,000 points.
As a freshman in 1993-`94, she took Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year honors. She was second team her sophomore year and easily made the first team her junior and senior years.
After leading the Colonials to the Elite Eight in 1997 – where she was named to the NCAA East Regional All-Tournament Team – she was named a Kodak First-Team All-American.
Abraham not only holds the school record with 2,134 points but also the career record for blocks (326), points in season (675) and is second in career scoring average (16.4 points per game) and rebounds (970).
After spending some time in the WNBA, Abraham is now an administrative assistant for the Colonials.
