Wei wins rookie honor

GW freshman Tracy Wei of the women’s tennis team was named the 2000 Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Rookie this week. Wei played most of the season at No. 1 singles and compiled a 19-11 record. Teammate Sarine Weingarten was named to the A-10 All-Conference team.

McCalla, Mantak are All-Academics

GW gymnasts Devin McCalla and Jessica Mantak were named to the Atlantic 10’s All-Academic Team. McCalla, who broke GW’s All-Around record with a score of 39.550 this season, posted a 3.33 GPA. Mantak achieved a 3.52 GPA and set personal bests in the all-around, vault, balance beam and floor exercise.
