This is in regard to David Holt’s piece (Four out of five old men prefer David Holt to The GW Journal) from the March 16 issue of The Hatchet. What gives?
There’s no reason to beat up on the GW Journal when a) it isn’t in competition with the Hatchet, as he suggests – it’s a magazine, not a newspaper; and b) it’s a really well-written, well put together publication.
As far as the long, boring historical articles go … let’s just say they’re a lot more interesting and informative than Holt’s sports stats and attempts at witticism. Plus, they don’t plague us with pictures of Holt’s chest.
