Under the Sun plays with Troubadours at Lisner

The musical talents of GW students are being showcased all over the city this weekend. The band Under the Sun is especially busy.

Under the Sun, featuring GW alumnus Tony Alany, will start its weekend with a performance at Lisner Auditorium with the Troubadours, GW’s a capella group. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $5. On Saturday, Under the Sun travels across town to play with Waterstreet at the Metro Caf?.

Alany graduated last May with a degree in mechanical engineering. Even if you haven’t seen Under the Sun, you may have seen Alany perform with the Troubadours while he was at GW. He now works at Jammin’ Jive Records in Vienna, Va. If you want to find out more about Under the Sun, visit the band’s Web site at www.underthesun.net.-Alison Gazan
