Columbia tops GW

Columbia University defeated GW 8-1 in women’s tennis Saturday. GW’s Sarine Weingarten posted the team’s only victory, winning her competitive singles match 7-5, 1-6, 6-3. Ghada Skaff lost her singles match 6-4, 6-4 and Tracy Wei fell 7-6, 6-4 for GW.

Eight-to-one doesn’t sound too good, Coach Jeanne Gengler said. But there were some close matches and (Columbia) is a strong team.
