The GW gymnastics team placed second in a four-team competition at Saturday’s New Hampshire Invitational, hosted by the University of New Hampshire.
The Colonials finished with an overall score of 192.500, led by sophomore Devin McCalla, who won the all-around competition with a score of 39.225. She posted a 9.875 on the balance beam. Fellow sophomore Jessica Mantak scored a 38.275 in the all-around.
GW’s overall score was second to New Hampshire (194.600), but the Colonials defeated third-place Bowling Green University (192.475) and Maryland (191.925). GW lost to Maryland last Monday at the Smith Center.
The Colonials travel to the Towson Invitational Sunday afternoon and will return to the Smith Center for a meet against James Madison University Feb. 25.
