Mount Vernon fields are on trackAthletic Director Jack Kvancz said Wednesday that the recent agreement negotiated between GW and Foxhall/Palisades in regards to the Mount Vernon campus did not affect the University’s plans to build a women’s lacrosse field and a soccer field for the varsity squads’ use.

The soccer teams could move to Mount Vernon as soon as the middle of next season, Kvancz said. The varsity women’s lacrosse team is expected to begin play in the spring of 2002, he said.-David Holt
