Boy-band crazy

On page seven of Monday’s edition of The GW Hatchet, there was a box at the bottom of the page that said that the “boy-band phenomenon is getting out of hand.”

What is that all about? I happen to enjoy the new surge of boy-band music and pop in general. I think that many students here at GW would agree. I also was surprised that there was story on the HSFstival and not on the recent Backstreet Boys tour that landed in D.C. Sept. 18 and 19.

The HSFstival was no doubt a large event, but the Backstreet Boys sold-out across the country in a matter of hours. This deserves at least a paragraph write-up, one would think. There definitely has to be some attraction to this boy-band culture. The Backstreet Boys sold 1.3 million copies the very first day the album came out!

I am sure that some of these people reside here at GW, and I am sure many would be interested in hearing more about them.
