The following personnel moves were made during the summer in the GW Athletic Department:

Men’s basketball: Jimmy McGovern was named Administrative Assistant, replacing Brian Blaney, who departed for the University of Stony Brook.Women’s basketball: Kathy Wilson, Kara McVey, and Tori Harrison joined the team as assistant coaches, replacing Margaret McKeon and Gabrielle Butler.Women’s crew: Angela Hart was named women’s novice coach.Women’s volleyball: Jo Coronel was hired as assistant coach, replacing Yvette Moorehead, who was promoted to head coach in April.Women’s water polo: Scott Reed was named the first head coach for women’s water polo, which will begin play in the spring.Sports medicine: Jackie Jenkins was promoted to head athletic trainer, replacing Beverly Westerman, who became a full-time GW professor. Jenkins is also head athletic trainer for the Washington Mystics.-David Holt
