GW employee assaults co-workerA GW food service employee is under Metropolitan Police investigation after assaulting a co-worker at J Street Feb. 2.

One female struck the other in the forehead during an argument over borrowed money, according to a University Police Department report.

The injured female checked into GW Hospital after a second assault from the same employee two days later, according to UPD.

The victim suffered a minor injury under her left eye and has returned to work. University Police officers are assisting MPD with its investigation.-Russ Rizzo


UPD investigates student for theft

The University Police Department is searching for a GW student who assaulted a University professor while stealing property in the Academic Center Monday night.

Students left their classroom to join another Academic Center class, leaving their possessions behind. Returning to the original classroom, a professor walked in on a student searching through backpacks, according to UPD.

The student ran out of the classroom, pushing the professor out of his way and taking a female’s wallet. The case is under investigation by UPD.
