ProEuro accepts GWorld card

ProEuro Hair Design is the newest off-campus business to accept GWorld debit dollars, joining a dozen other area businesses in the program.

The salon, at 2100 Pennsylvania Ave., joins off-campus partners The Burro, Capitol Grounds, DJ’s Fastbreak, Domino’s, Esteem Cleaners, Hunan Peking, The Little Caf?, Mail Boxes Etc., Quick Pita, SteakAround, The Washington Post and World Gourmet.

On-campus partners include the GW Bookstore, the Office of Dining Services, Gelman Library copiers and microfilm machines, The Bind and Royal Caf? at Hillel.

Gore to host jobs summit at GW

Vice President Al Gore will visit GW Tuesday to host a discussion about the skills American workers need to succeed in the next millennium.

The “21st Century Skills for 21st Century Jobs Summit,” which begins at 8 a.m. in the Marvin Center theater, also will feature U.S. Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman and Secretary of Commerce William Daley.

Gore’s speech will be broadcast live at regional summits in Los Angeles, Miami, Detroit and Philadelphia.
