If the mark of a truly great team is its ability to win in the face of injuries, then the GW men's basketball team proved how good they are against La Salle Wednesday after senior Pops Mensah-Bonsu limped off the court late in the first half, not to return.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and for GW it was almost the recipe for defeat. La Salle gave the sixth-ranked Colonials a look that they have rarely seen this season: a glance in the mirror.
Despite La Salle owning a 17-6 advantage in fastbreak points, a rarity for GW opponents, head coach Karl Hobbs did not see La Salle playing a similar style to his run-and-gun squad.

Posted Thursday, Feb. 23, 6:15 p.m. The No. 6 Colonials will be without Pops Mensah-Bonsu for at least a couple of weeks after the senior standout suffered a partially torn meniscus during Wednesday night's game against La Salle. GW Sports Information Director Brad Bower confirmed the extent of Mensah-Bonsu's injury late Thursday afternoon.

Posted Saturday, Feb. 25, 6:40 p.m. BRONX, N.Y. - The cheers were loud in Rose Hill Gym Saturday, but the GW men's basketball team could not be deafened. Despite a second-half run by the Rams, the No. 6 Colonials topped Fordham 76-65 in Division I basketball's oldest facility.
The win extends the Colonials' win streak to 16 games and gives them a 24-1 record overall.
