Fifteen points from junior Carl Elliott, including four free throws down the stretch that iced the game, topped Xavier 89-85 for the Colonials' ninth straight win.

Posted Sunday, Feb. 5, 3:05 p.m. For the GW men's basketball team's 10th straight win, it felt like home sweet home. Senior Pops Mensah-Bonsu and junior Danilo (J.R.) Pinnock had 16 points each and Mike Hall had 15 in the No. 10 Colonials' 80-55 win over Richmond Sunday afternoon. The Colonials (18-1, 8-0 Atlantic 10) caused 22 turnovers on 14 steals and only gave the ball up nine times.
