Campus plan hearings end, BZA to vote

The D.C. Board of Zoning Adjustment heard the third and final day of testimony in GW's application for the 2000-2010 campus plan Tuesday. Members of the Foggy Bottom Association and the Advisory Neighborhood Commission were present to oppose the plan's approval, which outlines the University's plans for property purchases and the use of land in the next 10 years.

Political groups face off

The leaders of the GW College Republicans and GW College Democrats squared off live on WRGW radio Tuesday evening to inform students about the platforms of presidential candidates Al Gore and George W. Bush.

SA funding gets Senate approval

The Student Association Senate approved its fall budget Tuesday, allocating more than $140,000 to student groups. About 40 student groups showed up to voice their objections to the bill, saying they have been short-changed.

Freshman hit crossing street

A car struck freshman Claire Fidelman as she crossed 20th Street at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. She was picked up by an ambulance and treated at Georgetown Hospital for treatment of bruises and lacerations and returned home the same night.
