1515 17th St.

Brightly lit and packed with people dancing or wearing costumes, Mr. Yogato is just weird enough to distract you from nervousness on a first date.

If you’re daring, you can also get a discounted cup of yogurt: visitors can perform tricks for savings. Correct answers to daily trivia questions, forehead stamps that say “Mr. Yogato stamped me,” singalongs and various challenges can take from 5 percent to 50 percent off of purchases.

But to really save money, you’ll need to plan ahead. Dressing up like ’80s tennis legend Bjorn Borg gets you 25 percent off, while singing “I’m Too Sexy” by RSF in a Swedish accent takes 50 percent off. Sing along to “Mr. Roboto” when it comes over the speaker system for 10 percent off. So team up with your date and let loose – it will be a win-win for both of you.

Four yogurt flavors are available with two of them changing every week, and they come in three different sizes ranging from $4 to $6. The 45 different toppings, nine of which are free, cost $1 for each or $2 for as many will fit in the cup. Options include various cereals, fruits, candies, nuts and syrups.

For such a lively place, it’s surprisingly tiny, with just about a dozen chairs. Be prepared to stay awhile, though. A plethora of games are stacked by the window with options including Checkers, Apples to Apples, Loaded Questions and I’ve Never, the adult version of Never Have I Ever. If you want to get a good sense for how daring your date is, Mr. Yogato is the place to find out.
