This statute prevented the medicine to be grown at dispensaries. The law also banned the patient's right to grow the medicine in the privacy of their own home, as originally approved by District voters. Lastly, the statute allows for more qualifying conditions that will be determined by rulemaking in the future. But first the program needs to become operational. There are no plants being grown, nor are there any patients being registered. The District government is needlessly making the sick patients wait.
