$5 – $10 – $20: An entertainment guide for the cash-strapped college student

If you have $5

Catch campus a capella groups perform A Capella-Palooza this Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church on 23rd Street. Tickets are $5; proceeds will benefit the Ngabolo Primary School.

If you have $10

Cart your parents over to the Marvin Center Betts Theater for the New Plays Festival, four one-act plays scripted, designed and performed by students. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Student tickets are $10.

If you have $20

Dig a green-stained face? Prepare for a (fake) blood and guts rub-down at the GWAR show this Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at Sonar in Baltimore. Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door.
