Women’s Basketball
The GW women’s basketball team released its Atlantic 10 schedule and will open up its conference play Jan. 6 at the Smith Center against Dayton. On Jan. 11, Temple will return to Washington in a rematch of last year’s A-10 final, while St. Louis will pay its first visit to Foggy Bottom Feb. 6.
Cross Country
Sophomore Mae Polhemus placed 14th overall to lead the GW women’s cross country squad to a third-place finish at the GW Invitational on Saturday at Bull Run Park in Centreville, Va. Chris Pisano, a freshman on the men’s squad, finished sixth place on the men’s team to lead the squad to an eighth-place finish.
Bucknell won both the men’s and women’s events.
