Blowouts mark basketball finals

The fall 3-on-3 basketball league concluded Thursday night with the finals of the men’s and women’s tournaments. In the women’s tournament, Women in the Buff proved too strong for B-Ball Babes, taking a 30-3 victory.
The men’s final started out in similar fashion, as Moose jumped out to a huge 20-2 lead. But 3 Men & A Gandhi stormed back to make the game competitive, only to lose in the end, 30-21. The 5-on-5 league starts in January.

Indoor soccer champs crowned

In the men’s indoor league, the International All-Stars took an early lead over longtime rival Africa United and ran away with the title, winning 6-2. In the co-rec league, Chicks With Balls faced The Mafia for the championship and took a 5-2 lead into halftime. Three unanswered second-half goals finished off The Mafia, 8-2, for Chicks With Balls’ third straight championship.
