Talbird's time (26:34:40) was good enough for a third-place finish, 19 seconds behind Penn State's John McGrorey (26:15:70) who won the meet. Andruski finished only four seconds behind Talbird, securing a fourth-place finish.
The women were equally impressive Saturday, finishing third overall behind Maryland and American. The Colonial women were led by sophomore Mackenzie Jessen, who finished 13th with a time of 21:14:40, less than two minutes behind individual winner Sasha Scott (19:20:60). GW's second runner to cross the finish line was 14th-place finisher Jenee Petersen at 21:15:80.
This was the last race for both teams before the GW Invitational, which will be held next Saturday at Bull Run Park in Centerville, Va. The women's race starts at 4 p.m., and the men will begin at 4:30 p.m.
