Ever since the founding of Columbian College in 1821, the institution known since 1904 as The George Washington University has sought to prove itself on the fields, courts and waters of athletic competition. The 20th Century has brought The Buff and Blue laurels undreamed of. This series looks back at the greatest names and events in 100 years of the Colonial sporting life.
