Hapless GW goes scoreless, winless

Team sets new record for futility

The GW women's soccer team lost twice this weekend, giving this team the most losses in the 19 seasons of the program's history.

GW now has no chance of making the Atlantic 10 Tournament, the first time the Colonial women will miss the tourney after six straight appearances.

After the losses this weekend, GW has gone four games without scoring a goal, a streak that has dropped the Colonial women to 2-14-1 (2-6-1 A-10). The 14 losses broke the previous record of 12 set in 1983 and '84. That record goes along with the school-record losing streak of eight that opened the season. GW has been outscored 40-11 this season.
